I've been drawing portraits for around 15 years now, but in the last 3 years switched my time to drawing and painting childrens portraits (I'm assuming your daughter is a child from the fondness you denote in your text). I've started exhibiting my work more and more over the past 3 years and I'm gradually building up momentum with my style. I use an acrylic abstract backing and work realistically into the portrait with limited colour palettes.
