The International Atomic Energy Agency has announced that it will triple the number of its teams at Ukraine's nuclear sites in the coming days.
The agency stated that this decision indicates a significant expansion of its role after it had been conducting limited missions since the start of the Russian war in Ukraine in February of last year, according to Al-Arabiya.
The agency revealed that approximately 12 experts will be present at any time, from now on, in Ukraine, with the aim of monitoring the situation and inspecting equipment, as well as providing technical assistance.
It is noteworthy that the site of Zaporizhia occupied by the Russian army, which is very sensitive to its proximity to the front line and is regularly bombed, has so far received only staff from the IAEA and stationed up to four experts since last September.
