I am a co-producer, audio engineer, composer, web builder, and RSS-feed manager for The Explorist Podcast. I've done audio editing, mixing, production and music composition for a diverse clientele that includes Crosscut’s Emmy nominated documentary, ‘The Rising’, NPR’s “All Things D,” Scientific American’s “The Monitor” video series, Grist, Backpacker, and numerous commercial clients. I'm a percussionist going on 20+ years and have played on over a dozen records. From troubleshooting cross-continent sat phone recordings in the Congolese rainforest to getting a clear, balanced mix in the studio, I know how to procure high-quality sound so the story or music can do the talking. I also have the chops to package your project with sonic atmosphere that can drive a narrative when necessary, but hang back when it needs to get out of the way.
