An audiobook is simply a digitally recorded version of the printed paper book being read aloud by a narrator. The narrator may be the author, a professional narrator or an actor. Often the recording may use a cast of narrators supported and embellished by the use of special sound effects. We will start by discussing your book by providing me a copy of the manuscript via email so I can follow along during our recording process. During the recording process, I will mark my copy of the manuscript for any possible edits, re-reads, etc. After the book is fully recorded, I will begin the editing and processing stage. During this time, I will be enhancing the vocal recording - using EQ, compression, gating, de-essing, limiting and any additional processing needed. After, I will build the book into separate tracks for easy-to-follow listening. In addition, I will provide ID3 tags for the entire book. ID3 tags are the audio file data standard for MP3 files in active use by software and hardware developers around the world. ID3 tags are supported in software such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, Winamp, VLC, and hardware players like the iPod, Creative Zen, Samsung Galaxy, and Sony Walkman.
