CAD Design means understanding what the requirements are, the goals of the project, and ensuring that what you do will work. You’re trying to solve something. Drafting is spatial. “Will it fit? Will it look good fitting?” Design is much, much bigger. It requires an understanding of how the product will work in the world in which it lives.
