To get started, here's a little about my experience and expertise. I am a Ph.D. level cancer biologist with training in bioinformatics, computational biology and toxicology (4 years post-graduate experience). I have worked at the Texas Advanced Computing Center in the Life Sciences Group (internship) as well as prestigious institutions in Texas and the United States including UT Austin, Georgetown University and National Institutes of Health. I enjoy data mining, bioinformatics and "debugging" programs. I can also write short "shell" programs in python or other to run a pipeline of command line programs on a linux server. For bioinformatics I am familiar with short and longer sequence aligners such as bowtie, BWA, MACs. I am familiar with Bioconductor packages often used for post-acquisition analysis and graphical representation in R. From creating a workflow for your project, to setting up basic pipelines and scripts, I can function as a consultant, coach or do some of the work for you!
