Mr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, a senior member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party's national stalwart, on his primary victory and wished him "success in the general election."

At a special convention in Abuja last Wednesday, Asiwaju Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, defeated 13 other candidates to secure the party's presidential ticket.

In a statement sent by his Abuja media office, Olawepo-Hashim said the primary election was "competitive more than the final results suggested," and that it "also highlighted our fault lines, which the final count may conceal."

He exhorted
