Dr. Elizabeth Neyens graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and completed a 5-year internship & residency program in veterinary anatomic pathology. She received twice a first research award and was elected as best junior lecturer in Pathobiology. She is a Diplomate of the American College of Toxicologists since 2015 and an active member of the Society of Toxicologic Pathology (STP), the European Society of Toxicological Pathology (ESTP), the American College of Toxicologists (ACT) and Society of Quality Assurance Professionals (SQA) with whom she completed a successful QA mentee-mentorship program. In 2018, she certified in Digital Pathology in collaboration with the National Society of Histotechnology (NSH) & Digital Pathology Association (DPA). Elizabeth has 15-years of experience in translational drug development and held various staff pathology positions in CRO, Pharmaceuticals and Research Institutes worldwide. In 2018, she founded ElizabethToxPath-Consulting Inc.: A Preclinical Consultancy firm offering Anatomic-Pathology & Toxicology services. She focuses on nonclinical drug development, ocular toxicological pathology and digital pathology. She supports Academia, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals with a variety of nonclinical services including vaccine development. She is an active scientist on social media and keeps a blog with regular podcasts about Pathology & Toxicology.
