NEW BEDFORD - The body found in Buttonwood Park Wednesday morning was that of 66-year-old Janet E. Roderiques, who was last seen walking near 70 State Road, Dartmouth (Dartmouth Manor), at approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.

A cause of death has not been released pending an autopsy report but the Bristol County District Attorney's Office says foul play is not suspected. The medical examiner's office officially identified the body Thursday afternoon.

A call came into New Bedford Police at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, regarding the body of a woman located at Buttonwood Park. Police and EMS responded.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:45 a.m. The matter is under investigation, according to the DA's Office.

Dartmouth Police had been seeking help in locating the woman after she was reported missing Sunday.
