As the in-house children's book editor for a publishing company, I have written several children's books myself and have deeply edited and improved over 150 for other authors (see gallery & my portfolio for award-winning titles).
In what usually turns out to be 2-3 or more editing passes through your story, I rework phrasing, trim filler words, and flesh out scenes if needed to improve the story and bring it full circle. I retain your voice and the original story arc and return a polished, proofread story. Revisions after you review the work are not included in this pricing structure.
For rhyming books, I also improve the meter/cadence/beats and the rhyming scheme.
