As the senior editor at Kingsman Editing, my job is to retain your voice but improve the quality of it, and I intend to do that. You have the opportunity to work with two of us, however, and put a team to work on your manuscript. I have an associate in journalism from Del Mar College and a bachelor's in creative writing and English with a concentration in Fiction from Southern New Hampshire University. I am a dedicated book editor who loves a good story. Though my interests lean toward fiction, I love inspirational true stories. Chicago Manual of Style is my guide, so if you have a style guide you prefer, I will need to know prior to working on the project. Along with our three editing services, Kingsman Editing offers another, less formal, service called the Red Pen Consultation. This is a verbal collaboration that is offered as an add-on service or as a separate service. I have been editing both as a hired and freelance editor. I worked with a college newspaper, the Del Mar College Foghorn, and copyedited for Journal Media Group's seven newspapers before transitioning to a new position with USA TODAY NETWORK. In 2013, when I first discovered writing as more than my simple eight-year-long hobby, I wrote my first novel. Shortly before its completion in 2014, I started a writing community on Facebook. The group, Author's Tale (now Authors' Tale), brought out the editing side of me, and I edited books for experience; I edited to fuel my growing obsession. Then, I started editing for newspapers. Please visit www.kingsmanediting.com for more information, and send five pages of your manuscript for review and a sample of my editing.
