I live in Wolverhampton. After the completion of my HD in Building and Construction, I conducted my MSc specialising in Building Technology at the University of Science Malaysia. I subsequently worked in the Libyan construction industry as an architectural engineer and as an academic instructor prior to beginning my Ph.D. studies at the University of Wolverhampton. My research is about sustainable construction waste management. Arabic is my first language but professionally and academically I mainly use English, my second language. Learning English was an interesting challenge for me, and I was greatly assisted in this by studying for my Ph.D. in the UK. As I am currently deeply immersed in my Ph.D. I am heavily engaged in reading academic literature pertaining to waste management, including journals, conference papers, books, reports, and white papers. The articles that I find the most fascinating are those relating to the transfer of best practices from developed to developing countries
