• I perform consulting work for architects, general contractors, home and multi-family building owners.
• Using the experience and knowledge from working in the sound control industry for nearly ten years; the relationships and contacts made during that time, I had a ready market for my skill set so I now consult.
• Understanding the differences in field and laboratory acoustic testing allows me to explain to both the owner and /or architect, contractor in plain language what they can reasonably expect in sound control performance in their project.
• My experience with other makers' materials gives me the latitude to make recommendations as to which combinations of sound attenuating materials and construction techniques will meet the performance and cost goals of the client and be in-line with the building codes.
• Consult with potential clients about project details and negotiate compensation.
• Communicate through presentation and meetings with foreign clients and government agencies about design specifications.
• Adapt styles and practices for success in a different culture with different construction system, with specific design focus on withstanding earthquakes and hurricanes.
