I am an electric power and renewable energy industry professional with almost eight years of experience delivering data driven business services to customers at different parts of the value chain beginning from power generation, distribution, supply, and end-user energy management. I have worked in large and small companies in the electric distribution, power generation and renewable energy industries. I have also participated in a group that lobbied for feed in tariff for biomass projects in the Philippines. My last big projects were two concurrent 300MW coal power projects of SMC Global Power in Bataan and Davao del Sur. I was directly involved in the procurement and negotiation of contracts for equipment and services for these plants. And I enjoyed working with the SMC team to earn significant savings for the company while keeping our suppliers happy. However, renewable energy is my real passion. So when offered to join the Energy Development Corporation (EDC), I jumped in. EDC is a Global Diversified Renewable Power Company with a portfolio of plants operating locally. It is helping the nation grow by developing renewable energy while preserving the environment and enriching local and indigenous communities. I am personally excited by its projects in the pipeline within and outside the Philippine borders. I consider myself not only as an employee but also a partner in building the business.
