• Assisted in creating Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams Through SmartPlant, MicroStation, and AutoCAD o Engineers would send me their red line markups of their P&ID and I would either edit existing or create from scratch new drawings of their markups. A P&ID is just a flow diagram of every pipeline, instrumentation device, and piece of equipment in the entire plant that is not to scale. Everything is labeled and numbered. • Create equipment in SmartPlant 3D for our energy power plant projects o I created 3D models of all of the tanks for the plants, the skids, and the minor equipment that needed to be included in the model. • Create equipment drawings that are sent out to venders within MicroStation and AutoCAD o Before models of tanks were drawn in the 3D model, I had to create tank data sheets that are sent to a vender. I had to determine where every nozzle and vent on the tank should go to correspond with the pipeline associated with it as well as fit well with the other objects surrounding within the model. After this task is done, then I can create the model of it in 3D. • Assisted Engineers in smaller projects doing their 3D and 2D modeling work o Did all the drafting and design work for smaller projects from engineers. Created a full 3D model and plan view of the project. Ran the new pipe line we were working on in the 3D model. Ran the iso drawings of all the new pipe lines with a bill of material. Drew a plan view of the area of work in 2D microstation. Adjusted the existing P&IDs of the plant to represent our new pipeline layout.
