My highest praise goes out to both Ian and Guru as I reflect back on this endeavor. This was my first attempt to recruit a “freelance” illustrator and it could not have gone better. Guru, for its part, provided a professional framework wherein I could post and solicit my work, review the qualifications and history of those who responded to my outline, securely manage the settlement of international transactions and streamline the exchange of thoughts illustrations on an as-needed basis.
As for Ian, let’s just say I got lucky (and so can you). He is a true professional and produced a work product that exceeded my expectations. I had a narrow vision (in my mind) for a unique structure in a tightly regulated environment. Working closely together over the course of a few weeks, we were able to thread the needle and produce the illustrations that can make this project a great success. As an architect, he patiently toiled through the minutiae of my many modifications. As an illustrator, he tied together all of his work in a sequence of images that one could imagine as a completed structure and surround.
In hindsight now, the Guru platform, and the truly professional work and conduct of Ian, has made this effort a great success. I will be returning to this platform when the time comes for me to bring to light a new vision. My best to all.
