I am conversant with AutoCAD, even unto using Visual Basic (on which AutoCAD is built) within it. I have a diploma in Visual Basic. I'm just starting out on here and don't even have AutoCAD, but there is other CAD software. I'm using DraftSight which costs less than AutoCAD, which means less cost for your drawings. AutoCAD is the best for all it does, which is more than you will ever probably need; but for standard 2D/3D drafting, then other CAD software work just as well. I worked on civils, usually from a masterbase map, in a multi-discipline office on development drawings including runways, motorways and railways. Disciplines included, Archaeology, Construction, Contamination, Ecology, Environmental, Railways, Structures, Transport, Water. Before that I worked in Telecommunications using CAD/GIS software to digitise civils. I also used to be a Website Developer using rather outmoded technologies these days, apart from javaScript. I also have "hands on" experience within the building trade, including fitting apartments with electrics, plumbing, kitchens, windows, and much more; concreting, plaster-work, metalwork, woodwork...
