Alleged victims of a California mother accused of hosting sordid sex parties for her 15-year-old son and his friends claim she ruined their lives as lawyers reveal she may be preparing to plead guilty.
Shannon O'Connor, who is accused of luring 14 and 15-year-olds to her $4.7million home in Los Gatos, is painted as a tech-savvy 'predator' who taught the teens how to lie and even allegedly used gifts in order to bait them, parents say.
The 'party mom' faces 39 criminal counts of felony child endangerment and sexual battery, with some of the victims as young as 13.
Investigators claimed that O'Connor would pressure the teenagers to binge drink and have sex for her own pleasure.
The 47-year-old's attorneys have indicated through court proceedings that they're seeking a prison term of eight years or less and may be prepared to change her plea to guilty. She could be out in as little as four years with good behavior.
A woman who went by 'Jane Doe 8' says that O'Connor 'tore my life apart.' I have suffered and had to deal with the reputation of being 'the girl that got raped.' I will live my high school years with this cloud over me.'
Victims testified that O'Connor would befriend them through her children and then via social media while they were freshmen at Los Gatos high school.
'Jane Doe 8' stated bluntly that 'Shannon doesn't have a conscience. She is a con-artist. I will never have the life I once had. And neither should she.'
Boys would drunkenly sexually assault them while O'Connor watched, they testified, according to KRON.
Another victim, 'Jane Doe 9,' said one night she discovered that O'Connor had been following her in her car with no headlights on. This was after she'd obtained a restraining order.
The girl, who says she has nightmares to this day, said that both O'Connor and her son were 'screaming and calling me nasty names' until she eventually hid in a bush.
'Her actions are bizarre. She is a manipulator and and narcissist. She continues to show signs of no remorse,' the victim added.
Jane Doe 8 also faced a pattern of stalking through social media, at her workplace, and with O'Connor and her family having moved to the same town she had moved to in Idaho after she was initially charged.
'Shannon moved to my town in Idaho. I got 27 calls with no caller ID's. It was Shannon breathing into the phone, haunting me. I can't even describe how terrified I was, I thought I was going to get killed,' Jane Doe 8 said.
'Jane Doe 4's' mother testified that O'Connor continued to run parties when they moved to Idaho.
'She's a very sick individual and a sexual predator,' the mother said. 'She taught our daughter how to drink like a rock star. She was only 14, had never had alcohol and never had a boyfriend. It's disgusting to me.'
