Gardening fans shares 'best' method to 'kill' patio weeds for less than £1

After struggling to create the perfect garden space for summer due to pesky patio weeds, a woman sought advice online for how to 'kill' them instantly after trying all methods to no avail

With the warmer weather approaching, Brits are starting to anticipate summer evenings best spent in the garden.

However, there's nothing worse than prepping your garden for summer - only to discover that you have pesky weeds ruining the vibe of your outdoor haven.

After trying every weed killer on the market to no avail, a woman has sought advice from people online for the 'best' method to rid of weeds with ease.

She took her concerns to popular Facebook group Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips, which boasts more than 260,000 members, where gardening gurus shared an effective method that costs less than £1.

Seeking advice for the issue, the woman questioned: "What's the best weed killer?

"I've tried everything. I can't get the grass from between the slabs," she added.

Fans of popular cleaning influencer Sophie Hinchliffe fled to the comment section to share their expertise and budget-friendly method with the woman in need.

Since sharing her concerns, the woman's post has raked in an excess of 30 comments - where people rushed to share the same method.

Taking to the comment section, one person advised: "Just put salt in between or boiling hot water both work."

A second person agreed: "Pour salt on to weeds to kill."

"Salt and boiling water," a third Facebook user echoed.

While salt is most commonly found in the back of your cupboards and acts as a staple for most meals, it can be purchased from supermarkets, such as Aldi, Lidl, or Asda for as little as 65p.

Meanwhile, other people were keen to suggest that people struggling with weeds should use white vinegar.

One person suggested: "White vinegar salt fairy liquid and water mix and squirt between slabs. It starves the roots."

Meanwhile, a different user advised: "White vinegar."
