Dr. Majid Majeed Akbar, obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. Chemical Engineering degrees from University of the Punjab, Lahore. Later he attended University Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia for Ph.D. Chemical Engineering studies. Dr. Akbar has published about 16 articles in the journals such as the Journal of Molecular Liquids (Impact factor (I.F.) = 2.74), Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry (I.F. = 1.781), Journal of Cleaner Production (I.F. = 4.959), Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy (I.F. = 1.934), Arabian Journal for Science and Engineering (I.F. = 0.728), Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery and Journal of Pakistan Institute of Chemical Engineers etc. He has overall an impact factor of 30.28 till November 2016. Meanwhile, many of his manuscripts are under review in reputed journals and awaiting publication. Presently he is independently managing 3 more fully funded research projects. Dr. Akbar has more than 13 years of university teaching experience at national and international level. He has taught many core chemical engineering subjects with success and contributed in the training of more than 1500 graduate chemical engineers.
