Chief of Staff Turned Virtual Assistant

$25/hr Starting at $25

Hello! Thank you for viewing my profile! I am a young professional who currently works as a chief-of-staff/legislative aide to a Virginia state representative and who previously worked in advocacy for an environmental interest group. I'm ready for a change in my professional life, and I'd like a more flexible, 100-percent remote position so that I can have more time to pursue my passions. I'm a bit of a "Jill of all trades." Running a state-level legislative office means I do everything from the most menial tasks to the most executive, so I'm comfortable with a dynamic workload. I'm savvy at all the things you'd expect someone in my current position to be — like scheduling, the Microsoft Suite, managing email platforms like Outlook and Gmail, mail merges, overseeing social media accounts, technical writing, and handling tedious administrative tasks with a smile on my face. So, instead of naming all the practical things I do, here are the big-picture skills I possess: ~Learning a little about a lot, just enough to be competent, and, therefore, just enough to make you competent ~Superintending nearly all aspects of another person's enterprise ~In-depth research, from policy and legislation, to donors, to scientific concepts, to which orthodontist accepts my boss's health insurance ~Determining a supervisor's needs before they themselves know what they are ~Identifying broad themes ~Making complex data palatable to non-experts ~Conveying nuance ~Capturing a supervisor's distinct voice and headspace ~Navigating subject matter on which I am not an expert ~Asking the right questions of the right people in order to fill my information gaps
