I haven't illustrated a children's book yet, but I'm open to it... especially if you have a publisher on board who's interested in having me team up with you. Otherwise, it may be more than you want to spend out of pocket, if you're self-publishing... from what I understand, a publisher will want to have some say in what style of art goes with which story. I create images that communicate the essence of your message, no matter how complex. I've been a professional illustrator for twenty years, and I'm known for my ability to generate numerous ideas... metaphors are my business! I've worked for all of the major newspapers (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and many more), as well as magazines and journals (ranging from MAD to the Chemical Intelligencer). I've designed logos for the El Paso Chile Company, the Data Management Association; I've done package illustrations for sauces, seeds, and coffee bags. I've done a few T-shirts as well; (I could see doing more of these!), and illustrations for annual reports. In addition, I've illustrated half a dozen books, including "Welcome to Your Brain", which is currently ranked #827 at the moment on Amazon... not bad, considering how many books are on there! And the wonderful "Seven Deadly Sins Sampler" from the Great Books Foundation...
