I am a children's book illustrator. I use primarily watercolor and lines. My style is in the category of what people often refer to as classic, which is highly influenced by the late 19th and early 20th century children's books in the English language. Further, I am also a scholar of East Asian language and culture. My design can be informed explicitly by different cultures, arts, and traditions; thus is able to fulfill the educational as well as the creative purpose of children's literature. I focus on details and other hidden symbolic gesture that can bring forth the messages of the story.
