Childrens Book Illustration / Cover art

My name is Monica Ortega and I am a self-taught digital illustrator a part of a biochemist graduate and forensic science master student. My art style is quite singular and children's book based. I have skills in both writing, sketching, fine lining, coloring and page design. To date I have worked in a couple of small particular projects in t-shirt design and an artbook illustration. Nowadays I am working on an own ongoing project, the writing and illustration of a children's book. During any particular project, I can offer ideas on concept representation and illustration, character design and use of color. In illustration projects, I give communication between me and the employer much importance as feedback on the ongoing art should be constant and at different stages of the project such as: sketching ideas, finished sketch, fine lining, coloring and rendering of the final images.
