China's imports and exports of agricultural products rose 11.5 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of this year, according to official data.
And the New China News Agency (Xinhua) reported today that agricultural products generated $83.38 billion in the country's foreign trade during the first three months of 2023, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs
China's imports of agricultural products rose 13.2 percent year-on-year to reach $59.88 billion during that period, while its exports of agricultural products reached $23.5 billion, an increase of 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
The country's trade deficit of agricultural products rose 17.2 percent year-on-year, to $36.38 billion during the same period, according to the data as well.
