The fastest versions of the G9 SUV are all-wheel drive models that can accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds. That's a bit slower than the Model Y performance which we haven't yet seen customer delivery here in Australia. It is great to see the introduction of new technologies in electric cars that are larger than SUVs and which are favored by many buyers in Australia. More than 50% of all vehicles sold in our home market last year were SUVs, so if this electric vehicle were to come to Australia, it would be very popular among family car buyers.
Xpeng currently sells cars in various European countries including Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands. The brand has a clear ambition to launch in many other markets including right-wing markets like ours in Australia. The demand for a well-designed EV SUV is sure to be here. We just have to look at the thousands of orders Tesla has for its Model Y. Any new entrants with electric ground-based vehicles like the Xpeng G9 will be well received and help reduce transportation emissions on our roads.
