CNC machine tool programmer

$100/hr Starting at $100

I have been programming computer controlled equipment in the metalworking field since 1996 where I setup and programmed multi-spindle cnc screw machines. I graduated from Vincennes university's tool and die program in 1999 and began working for the universities Computer Integrated Manufacturing (robotics) program. Here I designed and built grippers and manipulators for the departments lab robots and workcells. In 2001 I graduated from the robotics program as well and went on to work for a large machine shop running both high and low volume production runs. I began using Mastercam in 1997 on version 7. Over the years I have kept up with the newest version and maintenance updates as well as attended many continual education classes as new versions were released. I am very comfortable and capable of working with everything from 2d drawings to 3D models and solids. I am familiar with dynamic toolpaths as well as substituting an additional 4th axis when you only have 3 axis toolpath abilities. I am also very comfortable programming long form at the control. I can create/manipulate any kind of g-code program and even do some surface machining operations of rads chamfers and angles without use of CAD software. I have a very broad experience of machining different material types including but not limited to: plastics, wood, composites, cast materials, aluminum, stainless, tool steels, exotics.
