Carolyn Pile was the first artist in Sacramento to create animated
sequences for laser shows. Besides her whimsical cartoons and laser
animations, Carolyn created hand-painted window signs for Price Less
Drug Stores, a Sacramento area chain, as well as in-store and window signs for PayLess (sic) Drug Stores. Carolyn has an online Cafepress store, where you can purchase tee shirts, greeting cards, mugs, wall clocks, and other fun things that are decorated with her original illustrations.Carolyn wrote and illustrated a children's book, The Calamari Kid. It's now available on Kindle. These days, when the artist isn't
busy working on her art and maintaining her online sales, she is even
busier caring for her disabled mother. She is married to the technical
illustrator John Kirkpatrick.
