Proven experience as a System Administrator or Network Administrator Troubleshooting of computers, server & networks. Day to Day repairs & maintenance. Knowledge of window’s server. Maintenance of jack panel and cabling. Knowledge of LAN & WAN. Server Security, Firewalls Setup, DNS management and Port Blocking. Proactively monitoring system performance, capacity planning, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired Ability to set up and configure server hardware Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies Manage AD (Active Directory) and Group Policy in a mixed Windows/Mac environment. Troubleshoot and resolve GPO (Group Policy Object), AD replication, security, and permissions. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Create reports for IT management concerning systems performance and usage: The candidate should be highly motivated and able to work well both within a team environment and on their own.
