I am an author first, a content creator and social media marketer second. I cut my teeth as a journalist doing music reviews and features (glorified ad copy) in exchange for perks and "living the dream." I suppose it was quite possibly all that time I spent in the publicity and PR pool being exposed to so many entertainment marketing and publicity professionals that led to my catching the "marketing bug." I developed a close relationship working with Kaytea Moreno Elst interning with xo publicity where Kaytea (my marketing sensei) taught me tricks of the trade, most importantly how to bring that personal, human touch that's lacking at times in the marketing industry. I try not to toot my own horn except in traffic, but I entered the academic record by way of SUNY's art journal Afterimage before I was old enough to drink. Shortly after that I managed a few features in CUNY's graduate newspaper The Advocate and a few other newspapers and magazines on both coasts of the US and UK and Australia. The last two years I have been freelancing as a content creator, consultant and social media manager working primarily in the health, beauty and supplement industry for e-commerce sites like Peak Nootropics, Gifts from Earth, Top Shelf Kratom, Smart Drugs for College, Corpina.net and Piracetam.net and a few others. My primary interests are in health, wellness, literature, pop culture, lifestyle and arts & entertainment writing but I've done ghost-writing and technical writing on topics outside of my primary niche areas. Research skills and dedication are a couple of my most commended attributes as well as a knack at stacking a sentence together in an enjoyable and informative manner.
