Luckily, I was able to land a job as a copywriter in an advertising agency located in Makati, Philippines right before I took my graduation rights. The company, Milk Communications let me work as their copywriter for 5 months. Most of the clients I worked with are in the pharmaceutical industry. Thus, I can say that my first job was a good start because being a writer for an advertising agency working with pharmaceutical brands made me more creative and at the same time accurate because everything should not just be creative but factual as well. One of the social media content I did was a campaign for GSK, Win Against Asthma where I had a lot of researchers and create creative content out of it. After my graduation last February 2017, I had my second job as a web content specialist for a BPO company called Magellan Solutions, Inc. located in Mandaluyong Philippines. What I mostly do there is to create content for daily social media posts, post blog articles from our freelance writers and assign topics using SEO keywords and coordinate with them every day. I use Google and Semrush for searching SEO keywords that we can use for our content. Right now, I had to stay at home and look for a job that can still propel my passion in writing and design. Unfortunately, behind the perfect opportunities that came across my way after graduation my health is not cooperating. I am a Type 1 diabetic; it started when I was 15 years old, an insulin dependent which made my physician ask me to stop working far from home. Still, I thank God for giving me another hobby which turned into a business which is baking. When I was in college, since then I must say I am a business minded kid already. I call my business “Ella Gale’s Cup'n Pops”. It’s an online business started in 2011 which help me through paying some expenses in school and buy something special for my family. I currently handling my business to make money today while looking for a job that is near my home. Thanks to Guru, I think this is where I can spend more time working while doing what I want and where I want. Working with different nationalities will also help me learn new things and be open to something different aside from what we usually do here in the Philippines. This could also be another way of finding a perfect company where I can work for the rest of my life.
