I currently work as a freelance consultant and researcher helping private and public sector clients understand and make better decisions using social scientific insights. This could be something small, like producing a focused literature review, or it could be a lengthier commitment for a longer-term piece of social research or policy evaluation. In either case, I aim to bring a keen eye for detail and the necessary creativity to fully understand complex social, economic, and political problems.
I have no shortage of experience in this regard. I gained a BA, Masters, and Doctorate in politics, political economy, and public health respectively from the University of Manchester, and have since lectured and undertaken research in a number of top UK and EU universities. Since making the decision to pursue a freelance career, that experience has deepened and widened, working with clients across the globe in various research capacities. In between these larger contracts, I write content and provide consultation. My areas of interest are broad, though politics, public health, economics, and current affairs are where I am most comfortable.
If you were to hire me, you are gaining extensive methodological expertise, excellent writing and research skills, and a commitment to quality projects delivered on time.
