I should probably begin my introduction by noting that writing in this context mostly means to me nonfiction (academic and business) writing; I have never aspired to produce serious literature (although I would love to be able to write a hardboiled detective novel). Right now, I think of myself as a fairly competent writer in my field that enjoys most of the writing tasks that come her way. Before I got to this point, I had a love-hate relationship with writing for years. My parents and teachers told me early on that I was “great with language” and that my writing style was “good.” Things got somewhat better in the following years (Thank God!). While my writing process works well for me right now. I am a writer, who is thoughtful and, when appropriate, dares to take risks, tries new things. I aspire to be an excellent communication strategist in the years to come.
