My process is that I use Word's "Track Changes" function so you can accept or reject each change. I edit your document twice for overall format and tone, grammar, spelling, punctuation, run-on sentences, word choice/word order, clarity and conciseness, sentence structure, logical flow, and readability. Additionally, I make comments in the margin if clarification or change is needed. If you are writing for a certain journal, then I pull up that journal's author guidelines to make sure we follow their instructions. Should you need a certificate of English editing, I can provide that as well – at no extra cost.
