A copy typist is someone who specializes in typing text from a source which they read. Copy typists learn to touch type at a high speed, which means they can look at the copy they are typing and do not need to look at the keyboard they are typing on. The source, or original document is called the copy. The copy can be hand written notes perhaps from an author of a book, a play, or a TV show. As a current student always in touch with computer and have better understanding of requirements, my typing skill is average 60/minute and accuracy is average 95%. Time management is one of my strengths and that makes me best fit for the position of copy typist.
