I have seven years of professional copyediting and writing experience through my work in the cultural sector. My copyediting and writing expertise is primarily non-profit focused, but spans from grant writing and reports to sponsor and communications to marketing campaigns, all of which are applicable skills for any field. I completed a bachelor's degree in English literature and Art History (and a minor in Dramaturgy!) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2011), and currently I am enrolled in an arts management Master's program at the University of Bologna. After graduating, I moved to New Orleans, and worked for five years at a non-profit youth arts organization called YAYA (Young Aspirations/Young Artists). My role at YAYA stretched between development, community engagement, and project management. Last year I was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and served as the Education Fellow at the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin, Ireland. There, I conducted research on after-school youth organizations and developed an engagement strategy with local partners.
