As a copy and content writer I love to evoke thought through witty and imaginative language. The words and phrases of effective copy should take on a voice of their own rather than just sitting idly on some page or advert. Likewise, I believe that compelling content is more akin to a conversation than a monologue - the reader should hear themselves asking questions or making comments as they read. My background teaching Business English at an international school has given me special insight into what works well across various cultures. In the last few years I’ve been honored to give lectures for employees of Google, SAP, Pfizer, Nestlé and Heineken among others. One thing that I often remind clients is this… With English, there are far more non-native speakers in the world than native speakers.
