Character
You can teach a man of character how to do the job, but you will never be able to teach character to a man who knows how to do the job and yet has no character himself. In a lifetime as a manager, I learned this lesson early and have seen it proved beyond doubt over and over again.
I have done many things in my life, all of which lend themselves my current work: I have been a writer, meaning I have great ability at organizing ideas and concepts, as well as skill at communicating those concepts. As a detective, I was in contact with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. I served as Director of Public Relations for an advertising Agency, managing people and ideas. As an Assistant Director in motion pictures, I made hundreds of decisions each day with a crew of 30 to 70 people, handling information moving in several directions, meeting deadlines - dozens of deadlines each and every day.
