My writing education began in the seventh grade; writing research-booklets on various assigned topics and culminated in an MFA in Creative Writing, which I received from the Gwendolyn Brooks Center for Creative Writing, housed at Chicago State University, in December 2007. I also hold a BA in Speech Communications (honors). I am trained in radio/television productions, script writing in all formats, film adaptation and write in all genres. Currently, I'm working on a memoir of my own human experience, The Life Journey of a Prodigal Son. I spent twenty-years of my life on-stage; working in numerous musical groups as a featured vocalist and saxophone player. So, naturally, lyrical phrases dance through my head. Though I'm competent in varied aspects of creative writing, I prefer to concentrate on ghost-writing, critique and the editing of others creative works.
