I'm a writer who can take a special, even esoteric, topic and make it come alive to the "lay person," while at the same time maintaining technical integrity.
For the past 12 years, I've been a staffer at Bowlers Journal International, where I'm responsible for interviewing top players and industry leaders. My typical load is one column (650 words) and one or two features (650-2100 words) per month. I also assist in editing.
From the mid-90s, I was a staff reporter/writer/anchor at WIBC AM, Indianapolis's big newstalk station, writing and producing literally thousands of reports.
I've also written for a variety of specialty and general-interest magazines on topics that ranged from fishing the waterfalls of the Rockies to kitchen remodeling. I am VERY good at meeting deadlines.
