Have 16 years experience in newspaper work, educational public relations, and proposal writing. Positions held include having been education writer for San Antonio Express-News; city editor of the Laredo Times (Laredo, TX); associate superintendent for school community relations of the Houston Independent School District; communications consultant with a state education service center helping school districts in preparation of printed materials, planning bond election materials; also preparing proposals for federal grants in education programs while with the education service center.
