1. Develop cost trackers for detail financial status and continuous monitoring of costs of projects (budget vs actual) and ensure that over runs are timely forecasted and reported. Maintain status of savings, contingency, and share projects financials regularly. 2. Verify all payment request/invoices submitted by contractors and ensure its accuracy in all respect before they reach to finance. Assessment and review of QS works, OFM status, advance adjustments, tax applicability, provide support and leadership in all invoicing matters. 3. Provide support to contractors/projects to develop their system to maintain consistency in financial/progress statistics and keep track of their contracts; also guide them to develop their monthly reports. 4. Review of monthly financial reports/GLs for capital projects, ensuring the cost expenditures do not exceed the authorize funding, and the FTF to the project is updated on monthly basis for more clarity, transparency and consistency in projects financial statistics. 5. Develop cost baseline for projects in coordination with cost engineer and other stakeholders, ensuring variations are documented, ensure the budget developed as all key essential components as per AKU historical cost data. 6. Improve budgets/forecast to finish cost and cash flows information for local & foreign currencies and share the information with the relevant departments and forums. 7. Smooth financial close-out of projects by reconciliation of expenditures with finance, project team and other stakeholders. 8. Prepare monthly progress report for projects in design and construction phases. Identify reasons for variances compared to approved cost baselines. 9. Provide timely and accurate financial input to project progress bulletins, financial reports, presentations and other documents as and when required.
