I grew up in a commercial print shop back when the meaning of Camera Ready was literal, not figurative. In high school and throughout college I worked part-time or ad-hoc in another shop, doing everything from filing to light design to pre-press to bindery. The design of logos and mailers isn't just something I do for fun; it's in my blood.Western Michigan University's Theatre department produced three of my plays in as many years as part of its summer "new play project." Through that experience I began acting as well as writing, appearing on stage 15 times in five years.
