Bruce Dawson is a multimedia artist concerned with exploring novel approaches to Computer-Aided Algorithmic Composition, a derivative of the multidisciplinary practices of music and technology. As a founder of Synchronometry, Bruce has explored approaches to live electronic music utilizing custom interface design, music information retrieval (MIR) techniques, motion-reactive composition techniques. Bruce completed his MFA, with a research thesis focused on exploration of novel approaches to Computer-Aided Algorithmic Composition at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California, United States. Additionally in 2012, Bruce received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems Security at DeVry University. Bruce’s work is available on Github.
