My mom used to say "That girl was born with a pen in one hand and paper in the other." Stories of me copying words from picture books have been share through out the generations of my family. The legendary stories I would create just to get out of my homework and that dreaded bedtime would wow my parents. Everyone could tell I was destined to be a writer. At the age of thirteen I stumbled on to my mother's collection of Edgar Allen Poe, It was love at first sight. Soon after I started writing like crazy! No one would ever see me without a pencil ether in my hand or tucked behind my ear. I had found my gift. Years later I finally feel confident enough to get started as a freelance writer.
