Sawatdeeka!My name is Melissa Brown, and I'm your travelling English teacher. I'm currently finishing my last semester of my Master's International at California State University in Sacramento. For the past five years, both here California and abroad in Thailand (Peace Corps), I've been studying Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), a.k.a. Second Language Acquisition. This Master's goes in line with my deepest passions - both language learning and teaching. I have 12 years background in studying Spanish in California, Spain, & Chile. I have been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) since 2007. Since then, I have been able to learn Thai, as well as some Khmer (spoken in northeastern Thailand) and French.As part of my Master's International in TESOL, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer for twenty-seven months as a Teacher Trainer and Community Organizer in rural Thailand (2010 - 2012).
