I have seven years experience teaching argumentative, technical, research, and business writing, which involves, among other things, extensive editing of student work, as well as instruction in proofing and editing techniques.
I also teach English as a second/foreign language to students of all ages. This includes helping them learn to write and edit their own short arguments and analyses for standardized tests such as the TOEFL, TOEIC, and GRE.
In addition to extensive experience on projects for individuals, I have edited a series of EFL (English as a Foreign Language) textbooks and have written teacher's guides for those textbooks. More recently, I have done proofing work for a small literary journal, and I have read for the Mississippi Review Short Fiction Contest, 2005 and 2006.
I am a published author, and winner of the Garth A. Avant Creative Writing Award, 2006.
