I have more than 15 years of experience implementing communications, outreach and curricula for entities in the non-profit, business and academic communities, and serving as a spokesperson and on-air host in public broadcasting. I am an excellent communicator, a great diplomat, and an accomplished writer. My stage, radio and television experience has prepared me to be an outstanding spokesperson and/or media contact, and I am perfectly comfortable speaking to large or small groups. I was nominated for a Lone Star Emmy Award for my work on the video "Tell Us Your Story" that I produced for the City of La Porte. As the Owner and Principal of the Economic Vitality Corporation, a consulting firm specializing in business development and marketing communications, I created a strong branding and marketing campaign for the HA/tch Business Incubator Program at Sam Houston State University and created a branding guide for the Region 6 Education Service Center that helped them communicate with their stakeholders in a professional, consistent manner. As the Director of Economic Development and Downtown Revitalization for the City of La Porte, I created a new economic development and marketing program for the city that have served as a foundation for my successors.
