I have worked in career services, management and consulting for 7 years. Prior to that time I worked in Marketing and Outreach for a non-profit organization for 6 years. Through my work I have been fortunate enough to be able to develop a number of programs that have benefitted our community. I developed a program that works with youth who are at high risk of: dropping out of school, they are pregnant or parenting, and many other barriers. This program runs for seven months and teaches the children about hidden rules with in our society, expectations within the workplace and it helps them gain confidence and self esteem. This year have started a similar project that is focused on adults. The program is focused on helping adults who are unemployed or underemployed gain skills, networks and training that will help them find employment. I also saw a need in our community for individuals who are need of nice clothing for interviews and for work, but are unable to pay for those things. So w
