Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag said that the team's striker Cristiano Ronaldo is "in our plans" for the new season and that he is "not for sale".

  Ronaldo - who is 37 years old - will miss the team's preparatory tour in Thailand, and has expressed his desire to leave the team.

  The Portuguese player returned to United last season after playing for both Juventus and Real Madrid.

  As the Dutch coach said: "He is not with us for personal reasons, we are planning the season with Ronaldo, that is the situation."

  The former Ajax coach added: "I am looking forward to working with him, he is not for sale, he is part of the team's plans, and we hope to succeed together."
